7 Courses For 7 Diners

It is always lovely to be invited to someone's house for dinner.
Friends of ours are getting married this summer (I'm a bridesmaid, squee!) but unfortunately Tessa can't make the wedding.  She was fairly upset about this so instead invited the soon-to-be-newly-weds plus guests around for a home cooked spread to celebrate their nuptials in a really personal and intimate way.

Well, she said dinner.

It really was a banquet.

Course after course of curry came out in a never ending parade of flavour, texture and aroma.

The lady knows her way around her cumin and coriander.

Drinks and nibbles were first, just to get the old appetite gurgling for more and then we settled down for a marathon of food.
4 curry courses.  Each one different and packed full of piquancy to make your mouth water and gums smack together appreciatively.  Followed by 2 desserts and home made Baileys ice-cream to fill those little gaps you weren't sure could be filled with more food.
There was not a lot left.

Wine and chatter made for a cosy evening as the rain pounded down outside.
The majority of our friends are teachers and were on the Easter Holidays so they could relax as long as they wanted.  For Steve and myself though work was beckoning the next day so we had to make our goodbyes.

My dinner parties are now going to feel rather inadequate after 7 courses of food!
